Top 5 Social Networking Apps on iOS in Colombia Q4 2021

During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top social networking applications on iOS in Colombia—WhatsApp Messenger, Facebook, Messenger, Telegram Messenger, and Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out—exhibited diverse trends in their performance metrics.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 38.1K in late September and reaching around 51.9K by mid-December. The app maintained a high level of weekly active users, hovering around 1.19M throughout the quarter.

Facebook saw an upward trend in weekly revenue, peaking at around $3.9K at the end of December. Weekly downloads also increased, from roughly 21.6K in the first week of October to about 26.9K in early December. The app's weekly active users rose from 3.67M in late September to approximately 3.85M by the end of December.

Messenger showed a steady rise in weekly downloads, starting at 16.6K in late September and climbing to about 21.1K by the end of December. Weekly active users also increased, from around 1.12M in late September to approximately 1.17M by the end of the quarter.

Telegram Messenger demonstrated a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 10.1K in late September, spiking to 33.9K in early October, and then stabilizing around 10.4K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users peaked at approximately 374.8K in early October before stabilizing around 257.4K by the end of the quarter.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, reaching around $442 in mid-December. Weekly downloads showed a slight upward trend, from about 2.9K in late September to approximately 3.7K by mid-December. However, weekly active users saw a decline from around 93.7K in late September to about 75.2K by the end of December.
